About Wordle Today
Wordle Today is a free browser-based word game hub where players solve the daily Wordle-style puzzle and five original spinoff games: Category Wordle, Word Connect, Sedecordle Plus, Word Unscrambler, and Mini Crossword. No downloads, no accounts, no paywall. Every puzzle across the site is checked for solvability before publication, and the games are rebuilt and expanded regularly based on player feedback.
Who we are
Wordle Today is built by Tanveer Anwar and Muhammad Abbas, based in Faisalabad, Pakistan. We launched the site last month, starting with the daily Wordle-style puzzle, and have been adding new games ourselves ever since. Nobody here is an SEO agency running a template site; we’re players first, and every game on this site is something we built and tested by hand.
Our mission
Word games are one of the few genuinely low-stakes, screen-time-worth-it habits left on the internet. No ads interrupting your train of thought, no notifications trying to pull you back, no in-app purchases. Our mission is to keep it that way: fast-loading, distraction-free puzzles that respect your time and never ask for your email address to play.
What you’ll find on this site
Wordle Today hosts six games, all playable directly in your browser:
- Wordle Today: the classic daily 5-letter word puzzle. Guess the hidden word in 6 tries, with color-coded feedback after every guess.
- Category Wordle: themed puzzles (Movies, Music, Animals, Food, Tech, Sports) you can play multiple rounds of per day, each with its own daily word.
- Word Connect: a letter-circle puzzle where you spell every hidden word in a set of letters, with a bonus “golden word,” scoring streaks, and daily trivia.
- Sedecordle Plus: an extreme multi-board Wordle variant. Solve 4, 8, or 16 boards at once with one guess, with difficulty tiers and live progress tracking.
- Word Unscrambler: type any letters and see every real word they can form, with filters, Scrabble-style scoring, and a no-repeat “Chain Challenge” mode.
- Mini Crossword: a quick 5×5 crossword with clue lists, hints, and a growing bank of puzzles.
All six are free, require no sign-up, and work on both desktop and mobile.
How we build and check our puzzles
Every puzzle on this site is checked before it’s published, not after players report it’s broken:
- Word-based games pull from curated word lists, not scraped or AI-hallucinated word sets.
- Crossword-style puzzles are verified programmatically. Every crossing letter is checked against a real word list to confirm each answer is a genuine, solvable word before the puzzle goes live.
- Daily puzzles use a fixed, repeatable selection method, so every player gets the same puzzle on the same day. Nobody gets an easier or harder version.
- When a puzzle set needs correcting, we fix it at the source, not just for one day’s page.
We’re upfront about the current size of each word bank rather than claiming an unlimited dictionary we don’t have. Our word-unscrambling tools use a curated common-word list of several hundred entries, which we expand over time based on what players tell us is missing.
Our commitment to accuracy
If you spot an incorrect clue, an unsolvable puzzle, or a bug, we want to hear about it. Reader corrections are the fastest way puzzles on this site improve, and every report gets looked at directly by the person who built the puzzle, not a support queue.

How often are new puzzles added?
Daily puzzles refresh once per day for each game that has a daily mode. Puzzle banks (like Mini Crossword’s collection) are expanded periodically as we build and verify new puzzles.
Can I play past days’ puzzles?
Not currently for the daily Wordle puzzle, but Category Wordle, Word Connect, Sedecordle Plus, and Mini Crossword all have an Endless mode, so you can keep playing fresh puzzles any time instead of waiting for the next day.
How do you make sure puzzles are solvable?
Every crossword-style puzzle is checked with an automated verification step before publishing, confirming every crossing letter forms a real, valid word. We don’t rely on manual proofreading alone.
